Peyote Gourds:

Each gourd has a unique sound based on the size, thickness, and number of stones placed inside.  Each of these gourds are made with attention to detail, and a colorful expression of the medicine it contains.  These instruments are sacred, and meant for ceremonial purposes.  Usually accompanied by the water drum, the resonance of the rattle is used for healing practices.
